Stephanie King – New Teacher Mentor & Instructional Coach

Stephanie King is a dedicated New Teacher Mentor and Instructional Coach for the Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District. She works with new teachers, educators transitioning to different grade levels or content areas, and those new to the district, providing the guidance and support they need to grow professionally. Her work includes modeling lessons, co-teaching, whisper coaching, conducting observations, offering constructive feedback, lesson planning, analyzing student data, and helping teachers implement effective classroom management strategies.
Stephanie is deeply committed to fostering reflective teaching practices, encouraging educators to evaluate and refine their instructional approaches. She believes in the power of evidence-based strategies, including the Science of Reading, critical thinking development, and active engagement techniques such as Kagan structures and Universal Design for Learning. Her goal is to help teachers create dynamic and inclusive learning environments where all students can succeed.
A proud resident of the Verde Valley for 24 years, Stephanie and her family have all benefited from the Arizona public school system. She is a passionate advocate for public education and is dedicated to supporting both teachers and students in their journey toward success.
