Academics
Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District is committed to providing a knowledge-rich curriculum that aligns with Arizona State Standards and supports high-quality teaching and learning. Our curriculum, carefully adopted by the Governing Board, ensures that every student receives a strong academic foundation in literacy, mathematics, science, history, and civics, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
We emphasize direct instruction, the science of reading, and knowledge-building, ensuring that students develop the essential skills needed for lifelong learning. Our district also implements Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to provide multiple ways for students to engage with instructional content and demonstrate their learning.
