We were happy to host Teddy Armstrong, the district’s 21st Century Coordinator, on campus yesterday.

While she was here to see our programs in action, she took a quick detour to meet our very own Teddy the Rooster. It’s not every day you get a visit from your namesake!

Thanks for stopping by, Teddy!

Verde Tech students recently completed a Human Cannonball lab, applying trigonometry and physics to solve a real problem. Given a launch angle and speed, they calculated where a projectile should land using formulas and functions they’ve been studying in class.

They then tested their predictions using a projectile launcher and compared their results to their calculations.

We had a fun surprise at Verde Tech today. Kermit the Frog stopped by! 🐸

It’s so important for our animation students to see all the different forms animation can take, including puppetry. Experiences like this help bring what they’re learning to life in a really memorable way.

Big thanks to Mr. Beltran for bringing Kermit in to share with our students!

Big things are taking shape at Verde Tech High School!

This concrete form is the first step toward our new outdoor workshop space for our CTE programs. We’re excited to create more hands-on learning opportunities for our students and can’t wait to see this project come to life.

We’re thankful for our community partners who help make projects like this possible.

Yesterday we were happy to welcome Kimberly Gregory from MATFORCE to Verde Tech High School to talk with our students about the risks of vaping and the importance of making healthy choices.

While she was here, Kimberly also took a moment to meet one of our school bunnies, Ghost, who is always a favorite visitor on campus. 🐰

We appreciate our ongoing partnership with MATFORCE and their support in helping educate and empower our students.

Special thank you to Yavapai College's Viticulture Program for visiting Verde Tech High School to give agriscience students an overview of grape vine growth and management throughout the year. The next day they hosted students for a hands-on workshop in winter pruning techniques. Viticulture is an expanding agricultural industry in our area and across Arizona.

Today the Verde Tech campus came together for an incredible celebration of learning and hard work. Students enjoyed barbecued chicken and barbecued guinea fowl raised and processed by our own agriculture students, along with fresh lettuce they grew and harvested from The Farm at Bent River.

We’re so proud of our students’ dedication from farm to table!

Something unusual is on the move.

Somewhere on the highway between Phoenix and Cottonwood, a very large surprise is making its way to the Science Vortex.

Thanks to the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, we are becoming the proud new caretakers of… well… let’s just say it has wings. Or had wings.

Stay curious, Cottonwood.
