Yesterday we were happy to welcome Kimberly Gregory from MATFORCE to Verde Tech High School to talk with our students about the risks of vaping and the importance of making healthy choices.

While she was here, Kimberly also took a moment to meet one of our school bunnies, Ghost, who is always a favorite visitor on campus. 🐰

We appreciate our ongoing partnership with MATFORCE and their support in helping educate and empower our students.

The next day they hosted students for a hands-on workshop in winter pruning techniques. Viticulture is an expanding agricultural industry in our area and across Arizona.

Today the Verde Tech campus came together for an incredible celebration of learning and hard work. Students enjoyed barbecued chicken and barbecued guinea fowl raised and processed by our own agriculture students, along with fresh lettuce they grew and harvested from The Farm at Bent River.

We’re so proud of our students’ dedication from farm to table!

Something unusual is on the move.

Somewhere on the highway between Phoenix and Cottonwood, a very large surprise is making its way to the Science Vortex.

Thanks to the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, we are becoming the proud new caretakers of… well… let’s just say it has wings. Or had wings.

Stay curious, Cottonwood.

We’re incredibly proud of our Verde Tech students who took initiative this week to solve a real problem on campus. After noticing flooding in our barn area, they got creative — recycling old pallets and repurposing them into a raised walkway to keep the space dry and safe.

Their teamwork, problem-solving, and commitment to sustainability shine through in everything they do.
